Chicago Bachelor Party Weekend

My time to Chicago began traveling with the Kevin/Lisa/Matthew/Charlie/Samson clan. Despite their apologies for the crying and atypical behavior - I really enjoyed that part of the trip. Matthew is cool. I suppose since it will someday be part of my world I appreciated the opportunity. Traveling as part of their family was a privilege.
Saturday morning set out on the El train to Lincoln Park to Dan's brothers place. Then to Wrigley Field for a game against the Cards. Attending a game at Wrigley in the bleachers is the perfect baseball experience. The atmosphere, the view, the lack of yelling vendors and in your face advertising, all frankly made me wish the owners of Busch could have found a simpler perspective. Ignoring the faithful feud between our cities teams - they've got us beat on venue. There were a sick number of Cardinals fans. For anyone that didn't catch the game - it was a bit of a nail biter into 10th inning and our loss of 5 to 4.
Then the pub crawl throughout Wrigleyville and Lincoln Park. In order was Trader Todd's owned by Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds - Sheffields where we had Lou "Malnatos "Chicago pizza delivered - Matilda's for some pool in a cool lounge atmosphere, played a new three ball game perfect for a group of people - Vaughn's nice classy watering hole - Weeds to hear a man and his guitar - then to the Strip Clubs.
Lincoln Park represents perfectly the difference between St. Louis and Chicago - It is an urban community that has everything - we try with CWE and Soulard - to be able to walk to so many wonderful places and experience so many different things is incredible.
The VIP strip club was simply a parade of Hot women - but on a scale of stripper clubs - East St. Louis tops Chicago all around. We hooked Dan and Flounder up with a couple of exotic beauties. We tried going to Scarlett's downtown which was a fiasco and we left. The cab trip and seeing the Chicago skyline at night was worth the whole weekend.
Finally for all the way round we finished of at the Weiner Circle. A hot dog vendor downtown that is known for rousing exchanges with the servers. The Chardog with everything came fresh with an extra helping of tits and an unfulfilled request for clit sauce.
So that was that.
A full fledged Chicago Adventure. It reminded me that with such a wonderful city so close to us and so full of new experiences that I have to go more often.

I think Saturday's game was better (in a way) than Sunday's win (which was boring zzzzz.) Same old Cards, giving away the stupid stuff. But you have to give it to Jimmy E., that was a good run home, concussion and all.
Pujols was oh so close. You could hear the whole stadium holding their breath.
I liked that you could see the air show and watch the game at the same time.
PGA, Cardinals game, Air Show....I bet downtown was packed!
Sounds like another fun weekend!
so did you all stay with Dan's brother, or did Kevin and Lisa stay with her family? Were yu downtown?
Definitely held our breath when Puljols finally hit one that looked like something other than a pop up. We were right there in the bleachers dead center below the scoreboard.
We avoided downtown in general.
The fighters over Wrigley were killer.
We were at Lisa's Mom Friday night in Wilmette (not far north)and then Brian K's on Saturday night right in the heart of Lincoln Park.
We were playing the Cards so I never expressed any love for the Cubs, just Wrigley. So get it straight or I'll put you in the same category as the bitchy pony-tailed Cards Fan that wouldn't leave gracefully.
and Sutter should in the the Hall of Fame in a Cardinals uniform.
Naw I cheated with Google Images.
As admin I figured out how much better the entries look with pictures and how well it separates them - so I added the pic of Chicago and went ahead and found the one for M&S's trip too.
Been waiting for another Kevin Soapbox / Monoloque / Bully Pulpit / Stream of conciousness or just a good ol' rant.
