I have this byte on good authority that Burrito Loco has been sold to the the El Maguey (magooey) conglomerate.
To Leslie and I, this is earth-shattering news, as this place is one of our go to favs. Supposedly, they're going to franchise the Burrito Loco brand. It's cold comfort I guess, that it will still be there, but imo, franchise = mass production and poor quality, and Magooey = one taco, one burrito and one enchilada or one taco, one enchilada and one quesadilla.....
RIP Burrito Loco. We loved you so.

I'm still lamenting the loss of Flaco Taco...I feel your pain.
That threw me too. I thought Imo's owned El Maguey. Then I figured it out. LOL.
